Those jungle and beach boards look like paradise. I wanna use these.
Are they in the Pacific battles? Can I find them in my game now?
A pleasant island battle would be good for me to sharpen my skills with this game. It is fairly hard for me cause of the short turn limits.

I am wondering about in the jungle the dense foilage plus ambushes must make movement very slow. Are the turn limits still very short in these battles?

Yes. They are available within the "Pacific Theater Operations" pack of "Advanced Heroes and Leaders Collection".
The Pacific terrains generally have higher movement costs for both infantry and vehicles, in addition to other restrictions that you can find in the "Documents Pack".
Finally, all the scenarios published for "Advanced Heroes and Leaders Collection" are inspired by the numerous scenarios previously published for the popular board game "Advanced Squad Leader". In this sense, while I have had to adapt each scenario to the "Heroes and Leaders mod" system, I have nevertheless tried to maintain the original duration of each scenario.

thanks asl3d
I did the AE Pouppeville battle last night. It was a nice little town battle.
I started an AAR for it. I have all the pictures and will finish posting the full story tonight.

I just read your AAR on the Pouppeville scenario. It's excellent, as always.
I was also pleased that your approach to the American paratrooper attack is similar to mine when I was designing the scenario. Although it's difficult for the paratroopers to reach the town center, their strength ultimately prevails over the German defenders.
Thank you very much for your AAR.
Congratulations.

welcome
I will add much more to the story tonight.
Was going to finish it last night but was distracted by real life events. There was a paratrooper attack on our town.... or no no that is just in the story.

I finished the story with more pictures and details.
Note that I was playing on the easier level which extended the turn limit from 6 to 9 turns. I was good I had that setting because the last 3 turns were very lively. It took us about 4 turns to get to the houses and there was very heavy fighting from turn 4 to 9.

Your AAR (Advanced Action Report) over the Pouppeville scenario is simply spectacular.

The narration of the paratroopers' and the Germans' courageous actions is wonderful.

It feels like you're inside the village, witnessing the battle firsthand.

By the way, McAuliffe is wrong. Sergeant Fournier is a hero.

Congratulations!

Those are some good boards of wholesome country homes and orchards. A pleasant place for some war.

I think I will do another Normandy area battle similar to Pouppeville for my next AAR. I am thinking these are nice battles in pleasant places so they are good for battle stories. Kind of small like a couple of platoons on both sides fighting over classy French homes in small towns is ideal as I get warmed up again. This game takes some skill and luck with the dice to avoid losing badly. Needs very high skills and luck for a full win I think without any reloading (I never do), or intro level difficulty (I use sometimes) or drinking multiple cans of Redbull or Rockstar (I never do).
