Build version: v1.3.1.1 + Expansion and all DLCs
Severity: Low
Annoyance factor: Medium
Confusion for new players: High
Saved game:
The “Distance from Selected Item or Capital” is completely broken in Control Center’s Monitoring Stations list. The “sorted” list isn’t at all in the right order (neither from the selected item or the capital). The problem is still present even after shutting down DW2 and reloading the save.
I created a new design for my monitoring stations, in which I added a stealth component (to, hopefully, reduce the chances of them being detected / seen by enemies). Now, I want to retrofit them, progressively (some resources are scarce), starting with those closest to my main enemy: the Nanta-Re Conformity. If it would be working properly, the sort in the monitoring station would have been useful. But, it doesn't work properly, and it isn't useful at all.
Here’s an overview of the situation: a screenshot showing my monitoring stations and:
- Where my territory and my capital are
- The Nanta-Re Conformity’s territory, and their Irhosad colony (in the Daidalun System) that I selected before going in CC’s Monitoring station
- The first and second monitoring stations appearing at the top of CC’s monitoring stations list with the “Distance from Selected Item or Capital” sort option activated (with the Irhosad colony selected before activating the sort option; see point just above):
As you can see in the first screenshot, I have plenty of monitoring stations that are much closer to my capital or the selected item (Irhosado colony) than the ones appearing at the top of the list.
Here’s a screenshot of the “sorted” list with the Irhosado colony selected:
I don’t know what is used to “sort” the list, but it isn’t the distance from the selected item nor the distance from my capital.
