Help please

Hello everyone I'm new to the game and could not find my answer in the manual.
1- what does it mean when a unit flashes a green z to another unit?

2- what does it mean when a unit flashes the same but in red?

3- and the other line messages going from one unit to another.

If i may be allowed to make a suggestion it would be nice if the option to post elevation levels on the map was available.
