Game Freezes After Switching Back from another Window

I'm playing WITP:AE in window-mode. Whenever I go from the WITP window to another and back the WITP window freezes for a number of seconds. I'm not at the computer where the game is installed but is this normal or tomorrow when I get on that computer should I provide more information (like the switches I am using and compatibility mode?

Not for me. It's likely to be your switches so post them please.

I don't use compatibility mode all I do is set the switches. You could try running without it.

Probalby not a problem but do you get anything odd when switching to any other aps/games ?

All I have on this computer are, games (War in the West, War in the East, War in the East II and War in the Pacific: AE, Intel Monkey and WitP Tracker) and my photo software (DPP4, Bulk Rename Utility, Lightroom and Photoshop) and all the others work okay. It's not a big problem but it is irritating and if I can get rid of it it would help when I go look at something while playing the game.

Here are my switches:

-wd -cpu4 -deepColor -pxf1450 -pyf1000 -archive

Here's the compatibility mode. I checked and it does it with or without a mode set and I have this set because this was what I had the last time I had played the game prior to this time.

Not sure what that switch does but it seems to have done the trick. Thanks.
