Modding events

While events.dat is readable, is there a guide somewhere for how to interpret and change the fields?

Even column headers would be nice...but also, it's clear that some events cascade into others. It's not clear by inspection how this works, or where the event responses come from for that matter.

I'd like to try some mods if possible. The HOI family, for example, has very good docs and support for event modding.

OK lets give this another nudge. I had a closer look at events.dat and while it's reasonably obvious how some of these values work, it would be really nice to know exactly how it ALL works.

Hellfirejet has nutted out some but not all the relevant values to make his events mod.

Can we PLEASE have some details from the devs as to what all these fields do so we can hack on the events file? Is there a compelling reason why this information isn't already available?

Hello,
Sorry for the delay in posting a reply. I have been working on tweaking the Events file for Rule The World 3. I hope you can download this new updated file. :)

I have tested the download, and it works at least for me. I hope it works for everyone else who wants a game without too many wars or conflicts. As always, please save the original file before adding this new file. Thank you!

The "New Hawkish Govt" event under the world cruise for cadets event was not carried over into your modded events. Was this deliberate?

I'm getting illegal country results with the mod with events Gunnery competition (good idea) and Boom times (railroad).
