Weapon Tracking Radars

Post by Tazak »

in the data files, SharedCharacteristics, tab eq-wl - are all these 'active' ingame if there was a new subunit created using them compared to the current WLR

Looking at Cymbeline weapon tracking radar specifically, nothing major, just thinking about creating a Mk1 (tailor mounted) and Mk2 (FV432 mounted), with the only difference being shorter setup time for the Mk2 and use the FV432 stats for armour & speed within the subunit datasheet

I believe yes, but double check against the platform used in one of the scenarios that has a WLR added to it already.

Yes, the Cymbeline, its successor (ARTHUR, on a Bv-206 platform) and the Soviet Zoopark WLR are modeled.
IIRC, the generic NATO WLR is modeled after the US AN/TPQ-37 Firefinder, and the Warsaw Pact after the Zoopark.
