LCMs

Post by Bella »

I’m trying to understand LCMs (Landing craft/barges). Their range is tiny, their load is minuscule. You can’t even get a Marine Raider unit on one. Can’t attach them to amphibious fleets. What is their purpose?

They are small, with short range yes but your not supposed to use them on their own and not in an amphib TF. Try putting them in a landing craft TF with other landing craft types like the LST.

What Chris said + a larger vessel for refueling. It can be following the LCT TF.
BTW the T is for Tank. You can load heavy equipment on them and land directly on the beach. This is better than Amphib landing because in that TF type the Heavy Equipment has to wait for Squads and Light Equipment to unload first.
