Satellite Prediction Spot

Post by DWReese »

Question: When using the Satellite Prediction tool and you point to a spot on the map where you want to know when the next satellite pass will be, the program provides a list of all of the satellites that will pass by. What I would like to know is what exactly is considered to be a legitimate pass-by? In other words, how close to the spot is considered as a valid pass-by? 50 miles? 100 miles? 200 miles? Does it depend on the specific satellite, or is that a generic response estimate?
