Battle Locator Mode (BLM), F-11

Post by kentkroeckel »

Hello again, to the person who is assigned the administration duties of WitW, or Red Lancer.

I have a problem with an ongoing challenge and the subject bar in this request pretty much expresses what it is. This is my second attempt at seeking help on this matter and figure that maybe people were on holiday until now.

I (Kent Kroeckel) only have one active challenge, which is the way I like to play; keeping all attention to the one game. Therefore, it should be easy to find which challenge I am referencing. My opponent is Mentalist. The type of game is (1943-1945) grand campaign. The scenario is (Expanded Allied Air HQ). All options are set on normal. Kent Kroeckel is the Allied player and Metalist is the German player. Challenge started on September 24, 2025 and is presently on turn sixty.

About ten turns ago the "Battle Locator Mode function failed to display ground attacks for the Allied side. It started when I, (Kent Kroeckel, Allied player) sent the air results. At end of sending, an error message appeared saying system failed to read error. Ever since the BLM has failed to work properly. I have reinstalled game but this action did not help. Metalist did the same but problem still persists.

BLM works fine in recording air results for both sides. (Allies & Germany). Sometimes Germany gets ground results that can be displayed. Occasionally Allies will get one hex that will display but that will be it. More often than not, no hexes of ground combat displayed, either of German or Allied attacks during Allied ground phase.

One point to mention is that the maximum air missions that can be created by Allies (Kent Kroeckel) have been a constant in this challenge. What also could be helpful is the AAR that corresponds to this game. You should be able to view snapshots of problem from the AAR for each problematic turn. The format of AAR is turn based so should be easy to follow. And maybe you will be able to see the problem slowly developing through the whole game but it did not manifest until around a dozen turns ago.

Thank-you in advance for your help in this problem. If I (Kent Kroeckel) or Metalist can be of any assistance in this matter, please do not hesitate to ask us.

Sincerely, Kent Kroeckel
