Chem mission not firing under AI

In a scenario I'm working on, I have some BM-21 Grad [CN] SPA loaded with chemical weapons. The plan is to start the scenario with a chemical strike, but the AI simply doesn't fire.

For context:

- They are in range and with their HQ nearby.
- They have the "Strike" mission in the Battleplanner with the target hexes selected. The Battleplanner shows both the order and the affected hexes (in a teal color).
- I even ordered a Chem strike to the unit outside the Battleplanner. The Unit Dashboard shows that the first order on the first minute will be the Chem strike, but, no joy.

All other artillery units (with conventional munitions) fire as ordered and have no problems in executing their missions. It seems that NBC weapons require a specific authorization. However, if so, I can't find it.

I use the the BM21 and change the ammo load to 40 chem rockets, and set it to fire all rounds although this is just to ensure it goes into resupply where it can sit quietly until it withdraws

I tried the BM24 which only has 12 rockets but that much like yours didn't fire, I was wondering if the number of round needed for area fire might be affecting if the fire mission goes ahead or not

This is very strange. I checked the ammo load for my Chem unit and it is... ONE! If the Database is correct, it should mean "One Chem Strike Package"

I think the ammo load of 1 is a old 'hangover' from the early arty system, I wouldn't be surprised if noone has used that specific unit since the ammo changes a couple of years ago

Might test a tac nuke to see if they work

Well okay, seems nukes still work and the AI can fire them as a strike mission

Been playing around, it looks like CWN1 & CWP1 from the Systems tab are not being recognised by the engine
