EW Effects

Post by CTKnudsen »

Is there any way that the system models EW effects?

I am hoping to use ABII to play out battles generated by another campaign system (Thin Red Line's excellent C3 series of boardgames, if anyone's interested - WP attacks NATO in July 1985 at Bn/Regt level, but with an amazingly realistic command and control system) which includes modelling for EW effects on combat, and I'm wondering if there are any ways I can model that in ABII.

One way I can think of is to adjust the training values to model comms issues creating longer command delays, but I am pretty sure that will also affect individual unit accuracy and so forth, which would not necessarily be a good thing.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated!

This is interesting.

Are you the umpire?

Is the fog of war maintained?

Have you devised rules for exchanging information between the two game systems?
