GG involvement?

War in Spain 1936-39 is the first in a new wargame series, using a new Land-Sea-Air engine inspired by War in the Pacific - Admiral’s Edition. Gameplay and realism are improved by TRUE AI and a detailed Logistics systems. A hyper detailed OOB reaches down to battalion and company level. A beautiful, hand drawn, 5 nautical mile per hex map massively increases player immersion.

GG involvement?

Post by MarkShot »

Is Gary actually involved in this project or just his name for marketing purposes?

Also, why not just have remade WITP-AE as "remakes" carry very low risk in the entertainment industry and the Pacific, although times have changed, is becoming an area general public focus in The West where most of your market resides?

Thank you.

Gary Grigsby is not involved. And all of the code is written by me and Bill Olson ( for the interface of side bar and preferences )
I did not even see a single line of GG code ever.
But I used WITP AE as inspiration for the kind of game / look / feel and detail I wanted to have.

We picked our projects based on the persons we could find to work on any specific war / conflict and the scope.
The amount of work is extensive given the detail that we support in this game engine.
War in Spain was simply the first to be finished because it has a comparably small scope. And the WIS team had surprisingly great energy and speed.
The only responsible person. (Unless I can frame someone else)
