How is the game so far?

Post by Rising-Sun »

I havent decided to get back into this game yet, but having heavy tolls on the plague outbreaks, leader getting butchered or assassinated so heavily, etc. Curious how the game is going at this moment?

Also how is the cashflow or making money, better or worst than it was before?

Not sure what you have issues with exactly but I don't think Plagues changed much. The Plagues is a mechanic that works the way it is suppose to work. It is generally a good idea to eventually remove the messages the shows up for plague spreading as you can be spammed with it when you have allot of colonies.

Not sure what you mean with leaders getting butchered... but it is important to have good counter intelligence or enemy sepias can eventually run rampant in your territory.

The economy also depends on game settings, the more colonies there are the more cash there generally will be available overall. If you want a more stringent budget game then generally reduce the overall quality of planets in the game setup. The economy have also been rebalanced a bit so you have less cash overall now.

Well i have that plagues disabled, playing the Boskara isnt easy, cause of eating each others plus the plagues, it was getting really on my nerves lol. Noticed those Boskara doesnt have much options from the start, cause those volcano planets have very low rating and having a hard time trying to find planets to expand.

I took a look at the data files, i did some changes to it and made the game much better. Ofc some would like to know what i did or didnt care about playing the Boskara. Also did a little beef up on their stations too. Depending on which faction or species you are playing, some are really bad to play with from the start. That the game really need some extra buff to make the game more interesting to get into.

Yes... you can do any modding you find necessary to suit your preferences.

The vanilla game are not really suppose to make all races equal either and the random factor will also play a very large part in how easy it will be to expand in the early game.

Although I never heard anyone complain that Boskara are hard for a human player before... I suppose we all see different things depending on the game setups we do.

If you check the galaxicpedia or infos about planets, volcano or volcanic planets are very low quality, the extra buff for Boskara to colonize it isnt going to be enough. But yeah depending on the game setup, i had mine on rare instead of normal. Shouldnt be that many good planets to colonize, but some are different that others. Felt like Boskara are harder to play.
