elevation and range

If range is in meteres, what is the max elevation that can be designed for each level in elevation? I believe level increases height by 10 (10m ?). When designing scenarios, can you assign a slope increment a higher map eleveation line (say 20m or 50m, etc) without skewing range calculations?

THere are ways to make the hills different heights using Fred's map editor. There are a couple threads about that. SLope is not modeled and gun elevation depression isn;t either, so you can;t make things too extreme or very strange things are possible.

SPWAW has three levels. What would be the max interval without 'very strange things' happening? This must have been taken into consideration when designed so I was just wondering what is the max interval on a topographical map that would make sense in the game?

When Paul speaks of very strange things I think perhaps he is saying that you could have a tank on a 50 meter cliff shooting at another unit in an adjacent hex a level 0 or something like that. This would be strange (and impossible) indeed. He has said a number of times that is why there are no more elevations in the game than what you currently see. Paul, am I right or am I right? :D :D :D
