WiS: the manual

War in Spain 1936-39 is the first in a new wargame series, using a new Land-Sea-Air engine inspired by War in the Pacific - Admiral’s Edition. Gameplay and realism are improved by TRUE AI and a detailed Logistics systems. A hyper detailed OOB reaches down to battalion and company level. A beautiful, hand drawn, 5 nautical mile per hex map massively increases player immersion.

Thanks for the info. I did use strategic move mode for many of the troops to get them to Barcelona, but it's not too devastating because I can use Transport TFs to get them to the ports captured by the initial landings. I'll be behind schedule so I don't expect to win this attempt.

EDIT: It appears that I have suffered from a difference in how this game handles loading troops on ships and how AE, et al, handles this. It appears that Strategic Mode only matters for moving troops by rail and nothing else. Troops can be loaded onto transport TFs while in combat mode or strategic mode. Is this WAD?

I do have a question on movement. It is not a complaint because I know it will take a couple of days for the unit to finish the march but I don't understand the information being shown on the unit screen. Reus UGT Centura has been ordered to move to Saiou, a distance of 1 hex (5nm) along a secondary road. Under "Distance to next hex" is the following info: "Traveled 0.00/15.60" This is the day after it was given move orders. What are these numbers portraying? The road between those towns isn't that twisty... It's light urban to light urban. Did they get lost in the town grid?

Yes, this is WAD.

Without seeing a picture, I can't determine what the issue is. If the unit has already moved the previous turn to get to that location
If the unit has already moved the previous turn to get to that location, then it used all of its movement points and didn't have any to allocate to moving to the next hex. If the unit is exiting strategic mode, it takes three days to start moving on its own.

As far as getting lost in the town grid, that would depend upon how many cantinas ;) there are there, among other locations that I shouldn't mention in a family friendly forum. :? There was a valid reason for the British government to shut down the public houses at 3 pm in London during World War One.
