You can load either side of the game against the computer but a warning, if you switch sides some of the units will be following the previous orders from the AI.

It could be the case...
Have you tried to move the game screen with the keys I, K, L and J?
I mean, if you play in windowed mode and you cant see the upper border of the game window with the button to minimice game window you could push the key K once so you move the entire game window one row down so your game border appear at the top to be able to minimice it. I dont know if you understand what i mean....

PD: umhh or if the problem is not having the task bar at the botton... try the key I so you move the game window a row up and you should have the task manager bar at the botton.....

Use "I" or "i" to move the screen up.
