Finally understood logistic supplying your units

Post by Sergey45 »

Hello Team,

I wanted to share something that I finally understood about logistics, hoping it might help someone else too. If I've made any mistakes or misunderstood something, please feel free to correct me.

Logistics Overview:

Unit Selection & Logistic Cap:

Select the unit and click on "Logistic Cap" to view details.

Understanding the Indicators:

Yellow Line: Indicates the source of logistics. In this scenario, supplies are coming from Pina.
Blue Points: Reflects the transport capacity in tons that can be delivered by trucks, foot, and dual means. For example, 4 points for trucks mean 4 tons can be delivered.
Grey Path: Represents path difficulty. Each hex has a path point; the higher the path number, the more challenging it is for supplies to reach the unit. Lower numbers are better.
Red: Shows the actual tonnage being delivered, which is cumulative.
Delivery Calculation Example:

Issue: Why is only 3 tons being delivered when trucks can carry 4?
Calculation:
Formula: (Truck Points (4) x 24 (hours in a day)) / Path (30) = 3.2, rounded down to 3.
Explanation: Trucks are making 3 trips a day, delivering 3 tons.
Supply and Demand Management:

If your supply demand is 2 tons and your delivery capacity is 3 tons, the unit is adequately supplied.
If supply drops and trucks deliver only 1 ton, check for increased path difficulty. Consider moving units closer to a base or bring logistic units nearer to facilitate delivery.
I hope this helps clarify the logistics process for everyone. Please let me know if you have any questions or insights!
