Impulse #9 (Axis)
Germany assaults Metz. Will France use defensive air support (on extended range)? Current odds is 72:8, with an additional +4 in modification for disorganized defenders, and no city modifier. All in all +22. One AA is included in the attack. One FTR3 is available for interception.

Impulse #10 (Allies) Cont'
- Allies find Italian Coast 1 vs 4, 5 surprise points.
- Default to Naval Air & German Bf110 set to fighter.
- Surprise points saved, air combat 0/0 [Twin Axis]
- Round 1: A2A roll Axis 7, no effect. A2A roll Allies 5, DX. A2A ends.
- 4 Surprise points spent to reduce AA to no effect.
- Damage roll on transport results in Abort. Didn't roll other aborts as obvious Axis decision to retire from Italian Coast.
- Ships sent to La Spezia.

Re: The Wildfire Spreads (5-player game)
Agree. When playing with new opponents it is a learning experience. In order to keep the game moving we generally rely on who is doing the turn to make the obvious and logical decisions without waiting for an answer to expedite the turn. There may be times when that decision is not correct however the player who may not agree with a decision made may request another path to be followed and the rolls redone without prejudice. Classic example was the last impulse, the CW CVP fighter either goes down with the ship or in Air to Air so the decision is to keep flying regardless the odds. No point asking because the answer will be the same.Orm wrote: Fri Jan 30, 2026 1:08 pm There is indeed no need to ask every question that MWIF asks.
I suggest that we will get better with time in knowing what the line is for if a question should be asked, or not. It has not often happened when a question was needed, but not asked, and we will try to let you know if such a thing happens. I am pretty sure that I will not be upset if honest mistakes happens.
Advancing the game is in itself a good thing.
