Transfer Ships screen sometimes shows wrong speed/wrong endurance

Post by Panjack »

Create a TF which uses CRUISE speed --> click on Transfer ships. SOME of the ships listed on the Transfer Ship screen will have their MISSION speed listed (instead of cruise speed).

See first two screenshots below.
--------------------
But, if you, say, change the TF speed to MAX, when you click on Transfer Shits the MAX speed will be listed. That is, things work correctly for MAX speed but not for CRUISE speed. I'm not sure about other speeds.
--------------------
Yet, for the ship selected (Andres) the ENDURANCE will always be listed (in Transfer Ships) as 610 no matter what the speed is set in the TF. That is, if TF has MAX speed, the endurance listed will be that for CRUISE speed (610).

Screenshot 3 shows max speed for the TF. The endurance listed in this screenshot is different from the endurance listed in the Transfer Ship listing (screenshot 4) for this TF.

A related issue.
1. You open the screen to form a new TF. It lists the speeds of the ships (after you pick what type of TF you're creating).
2. You select one of these ships to put into a TF. The ship moves into the forming TF, and the speed of the ship is what had previously appeared in the list of ships.
3. You form the TF. But now the speed of the ship is lower. What must have previously been listed was the mission speed (?) but the default new TF is cruise speed, which gives lower speeds than mission.

Below is an example.
First screenshot = speeds of ships listed.
Second screenshot = a ship is moved into the forming TF.
Third screenshot = the TF is formed but the speed of the ship is lower than what listed before.

And, as was noted in the previous post, the Endurance of the ship is listed as 610 in all screens. This is the CRUISE endurance.

Certainly, you can change the TF to mission speed to actually get the 8 speed you saw when the ship was forming into a TF. But when you do this, your endurance (in mission speed) will be different than was listed when you were forming the TF.

All the listings of ships to build a TF show the maximum speed a ship can reach as well as the maximum endurance they have at cruise speed.
The only responsible person. (Unless I can frame someone else)

I would argue that for the first case above (first two screenshots in first post) that in the Transfer Ship screen, the information about speed and endurance should be relevant to the TF you're removing ships from. That is, if your TF is at CRUISE setting then the information for speed in the Transfer Ship screen should be CRUISE speed (and not MAX speed).

I rarely run ships at maximum speed and, so, I'm not as interested in max speed as typical speed.

Furthermore, in the case in the screenshots above, when I formed the TF, Andres was listed as having an 8 speed. But when the TF was created (using the default cruise speed), I found the speed of the Andres was actually 7. So I went to remove it (and any others with equally slower speeds) by opening up the Transfer Ships. But, again, Andres was listed as being 8 speed.

For one ship, no big deal. But if you've discovered, say, 5 ships have a slower speed than you want once you form a TF, you might need to keep track of them in your head when you shift to the Transfer Ships screen as you lose the information about their actual speed in the TF when you switch to the Transfer Ships screen.
