Editor picking wrong unit image

Post by StuccoFresco »

I am experiencing an annoying problem: when I compile a .csv file for the Army Table of a scenario, the editor fails to pick up the right code for the picture I want displayed.

Example: in the .csv file an AA unit has the value "100" in the "TypePic" column, which means the editor should load the _100 picture of the AA category, i.e. aa_100.png.

But it doesn't. It defaults to aa_0.

Same goes for many other units: despite me chosing the right code in the TypePic column, the editor refuses to comply and sometimes even assigns random pictures to the code (like arty_103.png when I wrote "100" in the TypePic column).

Why is that and how can I fix it?

Send me the .csv file in question + the TypePic problems you’re having (dontimian@hotmail.com). Let me take a look. Don.

P.S. I’ve found it’s often best to use the drop down gui vs. typing in the TypePic file number.

Here it is. It will probably give you an error for the counters' icons because I'm using modified versions.

This might be it: I tried making up an army composition on the csv before making the scenario, and the first time it imports in the scenario, it gets all the images wrong.

If you fix the pics via the drop down menu, then they stay in the right shape and you can export/import the file.

The file I uploaded was after manually fixing the images through the drop down menu, and it seems to export/import the file with the correct images just fine.

This is a non-manually fixed file, it give the wrong results in game because I compiled it without manually fixing the images. Many images default to the _0 version instead of _100, despite having "100" in the TypePic column of the .csv file.

I looked at KAR scen 1.7z . . . No error statements loading / A quick review showed each unit had a TypePic assigned (100 or greater).

I take it, you posted the file you had fixed using the drop down gui . . . Correct???

Have not yet taken a look at KAR XIII Tuman.7z

Yes the first file is the one I fixed with the drop down, and it works even exporting and importing it over and over. Once the drop down menu is used, it always works!
