Keyboad Shortcuts "I, J, K, L" - What are they good for?

War in Spain 1936-39 is the first in a new wargame series, using a new Land-Sea-Air engine inspired by War in the Pacific - Admiral’s Edition. Gameplay and realism are improved by TRUE AI and a detailed Logistics systems. A hyper detailed OOB reaches down to battalion and company level. A beautiful, hand drawn, 5 nautical mile per hex map massively increases player immersion.

Keyboad Shortcuts "I, J, K, L" - What are they good for?

Post by terry1040 »

I love Keyboad Shortcuts. Most of them are very helpful indeed.

However, I do not understand the combination of "I, J, K, L"?

Apparently they move the whole game window "up/left/down and right".
I could just move the Window as a whole with my mouse. If this indeed functionality is needed at all (rarely by me).

However, this functionality is blocking 4 MAJOR Keys that potentially could be used for shortcut functions.

I have no good additional functionality proposal as of now, but certainly moving the window seems to be most "irrelevant" to me.

Just wondering, is there any good usecase for having this in the game?

For when THIS happens when you start the game. The only way to center the game screen is with the keyboard keys since the windows bar is off the screen.

Instead of tabbing out of the game which can cause some issues for some people and their computers, use the "I" or "i" key to move the game window up so the task bar at the bottom can be accessed.
