[1776] Strike mission launches despite told to wait for 2 tankers on station

Post by Knightpawn »

Focus on the mission Mosque strike. Refueling is configured so that:
(a) is associated with a specific tanker mission
(b) mission planning details (Configure button for refuel) are configured to wait for 2 tankers on station, with boxes unchecked for both "launch without tankers in place" and proceed flight without tankers in place

No take-off time or time on target are set.

The mission launches immediately. I would expect that with the above configuration the mission would only launch once the 2 tankers were indeed on station.

Am i doing something wrong, or is the refuel configuration not working as expected?

Only could make it work with an activation time for the F-35s in the mission around 23Z.

There seems to be another bug in your save, at least one of them will crash for lack of fuel, continuing with the mission even though no refueling happened.

This second bug happens since B1728.

The one you describe is not working since at least B1661.

For sure, if one sets activation time or calculate take off times with appropriate margin of error, it would work and I can do it. That is what I did eventually. But if there is a specific feature that allows to set a specific constraint (need at least 2 tankers ON Station), I would expect that the feature should work.

I played around a bit and if one sets Weapon RTB and Fuel RTB to "NO" it appears that all planes in the fight follow the flight plan :-)

(the reported problem remains though)

That can be kind of a bug, but in reality you need to sync the flight plans of both, tankers and strike

P.S Checking in a isolated scenario, the FP generation doesn't allows you to generate a FP if there's no tankers in place, so not sure how do you get the FP being generated

What about the second bug.

Is it happening in the internal version, new thread needed?

I uses a custom scenario to check the FP generation, with scenarios that large, is difficult to check what's happening.

Yes please, create a new thread for that bug
