How to order Surface Combat TF to patrol?

War in Spain 1936-39 is the first in a new wargame series, using a new Land-Sea-Air engine inspired by War in the Pacific - Admiral’s Edition. Gameplay and realism are improved by TRUE AI and a detailed Logistics systems. A hyper detailed OOB reaches down to battalion and company level. A beautiful, hand drawn, 5 nautical mile per hex map massively increases player immersion.

How to order Surface Combat TF to patrol?

Post by thedoctorking »

I create a Surface Combat TF. I give it a destination. I click on routing options and click on Patrol around destination. The window closes immediately, I don't have the option to click back or exit. I then click on another TF and I'm back at the routing options screen. My original TF now has a destination that is somewhere close to where the second TF is currently located. I curse, and go back and correct the destination of the original TF. Clicking on one of the buttons at the top appears to clear the automatic routing options and gets me away from controlling that original TF. But when I hit move end, the original TF appears to have cruised to their destination (not so sure about this) but then immediately returns to its home base, i.e., it isn't patrolling. What am I doing wrong?

This game is even more confusing than WitP.

I have just posted how to do this in my AAR. If there are other questions, I can add to my post.
Seek peace but keep your gun handy.

I'm not a complete idiot, some parts are missing! :o
