Classifying events

Post by Cpl GAC »

Can the system skip over empty event slots without problems if I wanted to categorize events for future searching/editing ease? Here's an example of what I mean;

Events 1-50 scenario basics - rail, transport, etc
Events 100s weather
Events 200s Force 1 events
Events 300s Force 1 unit and formation specific
Events 500s Force 2 events
Events 750s Force 2 unit and formation specific
Events 1000s Victory events

If I understand you correctly you want to set up i.e. 10 events from slo t1 to slot 10, leave the following slots blank and add more events in i.e. slot 50 and so on.

Should be no problem.

Short answer, yes.

Long answer, I use a system very similar to what you are describing. Typically, I'll have one block for Force 1, one block for Force 2 and a third block for common/global events. Within the blocks events are then grouped, such as all Force 1 deployments in the 300's. Events can be left blank as separators and/or for later additions. I also keep a spreadsheet which helps to locate events and to document those complex event sequences which need to be reused from time to time.
