RSV-teleports

War in Spain 1936-39 is the first in a new wargame series, using a new Land-Sea-Air engine inspired by War in the Pacific - Admiral’s Edition. Gameplay and realism are improved by TRUE AI and a detailed Logistics systems. A hyper detailed OOB reaches down to battalion and company level. A beautiful, hand drawn, 5 nautical mile per hex map massively increases player immersion.

RSV-teleports

Post by Dreamslayer »

Many ground units at start of GC have disabled elements. Most of these elements are "usual" infantry squads, varios support squads, light or medium weapons. But some are heavy or/and specific.
E.g. - Republic-controlled Menorca island has various coastal batteries. Some of them have "381/45 1926 CD Gun" (static device). 3 of 6 guns are disabled but you can use "Detach Disablements" and it places these guns to RSV-units. So you can teleport it in 200 NM (40 hexes) radius. Just google about these naval guns and look photos.
I'm not talking about exactly these elements. But perhaps this "RSV-mechnics" could be limited somehow? Maybe ban ""Detach Disablements" for static, very heavy elements.
Would be nice to see in future the option for "RSV-mechnics" where players could to change 200 NM radius or something about load cost.

Yes, you are right.

The 381mm gun should also not move in RSV units....

A bit more about these 381mm naval guns. Perhaps its a largest calibre in the game, so let's add more an attention.
In the game the device has a range - 28 KYDS.
There is German report on 1940 and it says - 35 km.

There is a lot of different information about these guns.

I stuck to the lower Vickers-Armstrong data.

But other data about older types of Spanish guns are interesting.
There is little current information there. I will look into it, thank you.
