Repeatable error leading to “load previous saved game” while executing turn 32

Post by melvi »

Only thing I see a bit rare is the 2 minefields icon, both republican mine fields, on water hex 157, 98 in Mallorca island coast. They come from different TF doing mine fields on same hex. The second TF instead adding mines to the “old” minefield, created a new one. And I think I have read there can only be 2 icons on mine fields o same hex, one for each side. I loaded the turn 31 and executed it. Then, without giving a single order, I executed the turn 32 and same error occurred, so it must be something coming from turn 31 (the mine field issue I think). It wasn’t there when executed turn 31 but it is going to be there, no matter the orders I issue this turn, when I execute turn 32.

PD: Now that i thought about it it was easy to check if the minefields had something to do with the error, i loaded the turn 31 and remove order to both TFs doing minelying. Executed turn 31 and then, without issuing any order, executed turn 32. Mine fields werent there but the error is.. bah
PPD: What i realiced while doing this last test mentioned... (umhh better add another post to be able to attach screenshot)

What i realiced while doing this last test mentioned is that when starting the turn 32 i had not the messagge " Republican Player It is now your turn". The pop up messagge about Garcia Lorca death appeared and when i clicked on closeing it button i was able to issue orders without the "Republican player bla bla bla".

When there is a historical note, then there is no notice for the player to start their turn. If you would want one, you would have to request that.

As far as the error goes, that is beyond my scope of knowledge on how to fix it or even what the error is.

I didnt know we dont get the messagge to start the turn after an event pops ( or i didnt realiced since there has been some already) it is just i realiced when checking what could have happened for the error in turn 32.
Nah, i dont need the messagge to start a turn after an event, it is enougth to know there will not be one.

Hi, I'm running into the same issue. I didn't see any double minefields on the map but I saw the same "Read Access Violation" except for me it occurred when trying to play turn 38.

Forum won't let me paste the full crash log but it is uploaded here: https://pastebin.com/bGR4x4Sy

If it helps, here is the save file I have that has the issue (will crash if no changes made to orders with both Nationalist and Republican AI): https://limewire.com/d/xs7C9#6X5WuLstbO

It has done indeed, i run the turn 32 with 165.51.1 and everything went like a charm. I have no clue what was the problem but it has been solved with new update. I didnt change a single order and this time it worked.
