Game confusion

Post by HobbesACW »

Hi folks, this is not an easy game to understand is it? I'm getting there. A few questions left. Can anyone help with any of these?

Units Stats
What does Favourite Tries mean?

Unit Detail Stacks
Upkp
Shown with a t suffix. Is this in tonnes? How does this value relate to any other in the game?

Previous Attack Stack
Shows the stack points from previous attacks on the hex. These will be added in the overstack calculations for any new attacks. Even if an attack comes from a different hex?

Previous Artillery Attack Stack
Shows the artillery stack points from previous attacks on the hex. These will be added in the overstack calculations for any new artillery attacks. What is an artillery overstack calculation?

Thanks for any help. If none is forthcoming I will just ignore. I assume the above has little impact on the game?

It means the number of attempts that the unit gets to find a most favored subformation. A random formation in the unit is chosen each favorite roll, and the highest of them (among favorites) is chosen.

I have no idea

Yes.

It is a modifier that reduces the combat dice. (ATT), and how much it is reduced, I am not sure.

I guess for most people it won't matter too much, except for the Attack Stack. The bigger the number above the Land Stack value of the attack, the more troops you will lose in that attack.

Many thanks. I don't understand why the number of artillery stack points can result in a penalty to the attacker though.
