OT Strange people in this world

Post by zebrazwo »

Don't ask how I came across this, (because I was searching for something ordinance related in WITPAE) but sometimes you really have to ask yourself the question about how did we ever get this far as a species....

My father has worked in hospitals for most of his professional life, for years as nurse in the emergency room and surgery block, and later as instructor. He has stories to tell about strange objects found at unusual places inside human bodies...

That Englishman with the anti-tank shell must have misinterpreted the meaning of "AP" as "a$$ piercing"

Maybe they confused it with a suppository? It could happen!

Maybe the person had hemorrhoids, also known as piles, and wanted pressure on them to relieve their discomfort.
Seek peace but keep your gun handy.

Personally, I think I would recognize it as some kind of munition. My first thought (or any of my thoughts) would not be, how can I insert this in my body?

Had a medic who, prior to the Army, was an EMT and he told us in one of our first aid sustainment classes: "Anything that can be inserted in one's fourth-point-of-contact, will be inserted. The probability of that happening is increased when alcohol, drugs or social pressure is involved."

Yeah, it's hard to argue against that statement. A live shell, some people - "oh yeah, let's try it".
