Installing Streel Inferno DLC asks for an older update (1.03.11)

After switching to Linux (Fedora - last Windows update killed my Nvme and SSD) and trying to learn how to use it I wanted to install WitE 2 again. I downloaded the installer, the latest update (01.04.12) and the Steel Inferno DLC from 'My page' on the Matrix site.

Everything worked fine, until...

I got the main game installed just fine, it worked. I installed the latest update (1.04.12) and everything still worked fine. On the start screen it said Version installed 01.00.07, exe version 1.04.12. The game worked as intended.

Then I wanted to install the Steel Inferno DLC. Everything worked fine until the installer told told me:

"Setup has detected that you do not have 01.03.11 for Gary Grigsbys War in the East 2 on your system. Version 01.03.11 ist required for Gray Grigsby's War in the East 2: Steel Inferno.

Please click Open Web to open the web page for Gary Grigsby's War in the East 2, where you can find and download the latest version."

Where do i find version 01.03.11 (I couldn't) or is there any way around the installer demanding version 01.03.11?

As I wrote in my original post I don't get the chance to either

a. enter the serial number of the 'Steel Inferno' DLC

b. get the pop up with the message that I'm already 'up to date'.

The first and only message I get is that I need to install the 01.03.11 update.

I then have the chance to open the 'web page for Gary Grigsby's War in the east 2' (which leads to nothing happening) or leave the install process.

As I wrote I downloaded everything from 'my page' on the Matrix site.

Any further suggestions?

Its clearly stated that the game update installer is actually working as Steel Inferno installer.

I know. And I did use the game installer.

Maybe I should have been more clear on how I installed WitE 2.

It's not the first time I install a Gary Grigsby game and it's not the first time I install WitE 2.

And so the problem remains.

you only need the main game and the game update installers. main game install, update install, Steel inferno install via update then possibly another run of the updater to ensure all files are updated.
Strange to see the "version installed" still showing the original install version - this should have been updated to show most recent installed verison. May be confusing the installer script?!?
