Will we get a Steam key at some point?

War in Spain 1936-39 is the first in a new wargame series, using a new Land-Sea-Air engine inspired by War in the Pacific - Admiral’s Edition. Gameplay and realism are improved by TRUE AI and a detailed Logistics systems. A hyper detailed OOB reaches down to battalion and company level. A beautiful, hand drawn, 5 nautical mile per hex map massively increases player immersion.

Will we get a Steam key at some point?

Post by steevodeevo »

Hi just bought WiS and really like the look of the engine, depth and scale. I'm speculating its the start of a series I intend to follow closely. hence my question, will we get Steam keys at any point? I like to manage my installs, add ons and updates in one place if possible. Thanks.

Based on past experience with Matrix games that have released on their store prior to releasing on Steam like Shadow Empire as soon as it gets a Steam release (assuming it does) then the steam key is put on your Matrix account "My Games" page next to the title .

Never had a problem.

At the moment, War in Spain is a Matrix Games exclusive release. We're hoping to release the game on Steam at some point, but we cannot confirm anything at this stage.

If you would be so kind as to use the newly designed engine to upgrade WITP:AE, call it 2 and release on steam I would be a happy camper. :D

I think this is all of our dreams, or at the minimum the game to be highly moddable so we can get it ourselves :)

Wish I waited for a steam edition so i can have the option to refund it. Since this game completely lacks tutorials and the you tube video tutorials are overly complicated I dont see any way I will ever enjoy this game.

You can check out my AAR. You can also request that I go over things if you need/want some help. If you play WITP:AE, you can muddle through as well.

This ARR helped me a lot. Read manual + this ARR = best tutorial.
