Common sense would say that more has changed than just the exe.

Uzabit nails it. Thank you, all files into a directory, unzip only .001 and play from there.

I was also unable to extract the files.

All of the files were placed in a new folder, but WinZip (multiple versions) failed to open the files.

I guess that I will wait for the official version, and then hope that these same issues don't reoccur.

I have used winrar for 30 years and have never had a problem with files that are uncorrupted.

I was also unable to extract the files.

Putting them in the same folder and selecting them all at the same time worked for me.

Thanks for the response.

Yes, I've done that. Unfortunately, WinZip states that it doesn't recognize the files. I never get an UNZIP files button or option.

I then tried to use the same WinZip program on other files that were zipped and it worked fine, so the program isn't the issue.

Thanks again.

Try 7-zip, is free.

I am using the WinZip that was recommended, and I am still experiencing difficulty.

The program will unzip everything else not related to this game, but when I try to open this update is it says that it cannot open it because it "does not appear to be a valid archive." Can someone tell me what's going on?

I have Windows 11, 64-bit, if that matters.

Thanks

It is in the instructions by Dimitris. But I guess all of us went directly to the new stuff and the download link :)

Installation: Unzip to any folder (using 7zip) and run it straight from there.

Yep, downloaded it to a separate folder as per the instructions.

The problem is, nothing will open it because it states this "valid archive" issue. I don't know what that is referring to. If I did, then I'd know what to do. If someone knows what "does not appear to be a valid archive" means, or how to rectify it, please let me know.

As I said, I am using the same WinZip program as before, and it is opening everything other than this, so the issue seems to be isolated to just this install.

I just tried Winzip, the last version v77, and it does not work (same error), though supposedly it supports multi part 7z files.

Probably 7-zip changed something and Winzip has not been updated to support it.

But why you do not want to use 7-zip? Winrar also works.

No pressure, but do we think this is days or weeks out?

I just want to know if I should wait to upgrade before starting a new campaign this weekend...
