Missing countries

Post by Easter80 »

The following countries are missing:
Costa Rica 🇨🇷, El Salvador 🇸🇻, Tannu Tuva and Tibet.

The Portuguese colony Macao with a port is also missing,
as well as the British colony of Gambia
and the French colony Saint Pierre and Miquelon,
which voted for Vichy France and was liberated by Free France on 12/26/1941.

Goa was a Portuguese colony and didn't belong to the
British colony India.

The British colony India putting as an own major country shouldn't be in my opinion, because it wasn't an independent country.

The French colony Morocco also missing and the French colony Indochina should be activated as a part of France until the armistice with Nationalsocialist Germany and then voting for Vichy France.

Also The French leased area Guangzhouwan should bei added.

I can't really see the point of including Macau as a port in the game at this global scale. It was an enclave of 10.9 square miles on the Chinese coast with port facilities far inferior to those of neighboring Hong Kong. In Sept. 1943, Japan forced the installation of several Japanese consultants into the government of Macau, and thus Macau was unofficially transformed into a Japanese puppet state until the end of the war with no need for an invasion or any real diplomatic effort. Economically, it probably contributed nil to the Japanese war effort except as a haven for war refugees. A lot of other micro-states aren't included in the game as well, like Liechtenstein, Andorra and San Marino probably for good reason. One just assumes they suffer their historical fate as most didn't have any military forces to speak of. I've always been more mystified as to why Morocco is considered part of Algeria in the game.

However, I did notice that tiny Rockall island is included on the map (as a named location in the ocean). Might be some decent guano deposits there. :D

I agree with you about Morocco.

I still think that Macao should be added.
