Using Captured Equipment

War in Spain 1936-39 is the first in a new wargame series, using a new Land-Sea-Air engine inspired by War in the Pacific - Admiral’s Edition. Gameplay and realism are improved by TRUE AI and a detailed Logistics systems. A hyper detailed OOB reaches down to battalion and company level. A beautiful, hand drawn, 5 nautical mile per hex map massively increases player immersion.

Using Captured Equipment

Post by Schmauser »

Messing around with captured equipment.

Understand the simple like a gun needs a caison or tractor. Where I get lost is how many wagons, pack animals, carts trucks and support squads need to be added to maintain unit efficiency. There are also many types of trucks with likely different capacities. Looked in the manuals and couldn't find anything.

Any ideas where to find this info or recipes used by players?

i'm definitely no expert but I start by looking at it two ways

1) if you just want to replace trucks for wagons, just add enough wagons to make up the lost cargo capacity of trucks. Or vice versa.

2) How long do I want to sustain the unit - pay attention to the numbers in the unit screen. Do you want the unit to have enough supplies for 3 days, 4 days, 5 days etc.

Afterwards you can get into more nitty gritty which others can chime in with if they so choose, like how the changes will impact logistics.
