Questions

Post by Jusepe131 »

Hi, what's the difference between this version and the Steam version? I'm also struck by how little activity there is on the forums about the game; it doesn't seem to be a very popular game...tjanks

There is (will be) no difference between the Steam version, of Overlord (when it’s released), and the Non-Steam version.

Like you, I’m surprised at the lack of traffic. Not sure why. Have not seen any posts hating the game / frustrated with it. Have seen several posts complementing it.

Yeah, I haven't seen anything bad either, but everything seems really quiet... the Steam forum is practically nonexistent... I don't know, I'm wondering if the developer will abandon it soon... it often happens with games that barely see any activity

It's a good game with great mechanics but its graphics hold it back. It's also not part of an established franchise like TOAW, nor the sequel of a pretty innovative game like Flashpoint Campaigns. Casual players are intimidated by the "serious" look and the advanced mechanics.

To me it's perfect because it's really malleable and versatile, but it also forces modders to also draw their own game maps, which is not everyone's cup.
