Creating a new RR Unit

War in Spain 1936-39 is the first in a new wargame series, using a new Land-Sea-Air engine inspired by War in the Pacific - Admiral’s Edition. Gameplay and realism are improved by TRUE AI and a detailed Logistics systems. A hyper detailed OOB reaches down to battalion and company level. A beautiful, hand drawn, 5 nautical mile per hex map massively increases player immersion.

Creating a new RR Unit

Post by Q-Ball »

After reading the manual, I still can't figure out how, step by step, to create a new RR unit. Can someone please walk me through it?

I can "Create new LCU" in the hex, no problem...that creates an RSV unit

I can get to the TOE screen as well....but what I can't figure out is how to specify a TOE for the unit consisting of Rail Cars (in this example)

How do I do that?

Thanks in advance, I am sure others will have this question

Create a new RSV unit, move some RR devices into the unit from and existing RR logistical unit, then change the type of the new unit from "Reserve" to "Logistical." Just make sure that the losing unit is set to accept replacements. That is the quick and easy way to do it.

I showed how to create the RSV unit by dumping devices and merging devices on the first page of my AAR. That was when I changed an infantry unit to a mountain type of unit. If you are going to move units into rough and/or mountainous terrain, you can change some devices to mule or horse teams, the Nationalists also have camels. If you do create an RSV unit to support units moving into the rough and/or mountainous terrain, include mule and/or horse teams.

When you capture wagons and carts, those make great logistical units back from the front lines. Just keep them in a base with a train depot so it is like a hub and spoke system of supply.
Seek peace but keep your gun handy.

I'm not a complete idiot, some parts are missing! :o
