Question regarding explosion

While testing Correcaminos scenario today, noticed this message when the Yasen-M sub is sunk.

The torpedo impacts the sub.

But then also the explosion, this message is wrong if there is already a direct impact?

Or does it mean that the weapons inside the sub exploded, also affecting the sub?

That message is confusing, command models both, direct hit and explosions, that one looks like a direct hit + explosion.
