Before I list as an issue, need opinions

Post by thewood1 »

Since at least build 1776 in exclusion zones, I don't remember having them all show up at once in colored blocks. Now all are visible. And there is no setting I can find that changes that. I might not be remembering it correctly because of all the betas, but I remember it being an option for them to show up. There are few technical issues I want to report around zone management, but want to settle this one first.

Exclusion and no-nav zones have always been displayed if they are active. Only mission areas have a toggle to turn the visibility on or off.

I’m pretty sure the exclusion zone visibility changed in B1817.

I was surprised to see that in B1817 the zones are now visible at all times, whereas in earlier versions I had to open the Exclusion Zone Manager to check the boundaries.

Thats why I posted the question. Thats how I remembered it also. It makes the map extraordinarily messy.

I use exclusions zone all the time and all over the place around task groups to reflect warning zones for air traffic and air defense zones. Those same scenarios now look like jigsaw puzzles.

Created a request ticket on our internal tracker for visibility toggles for No Nav and Exclusion Zone, similar to the one for mission areas. Defiantly not going to be a v1.09 feature.

Unless you want to use the event editor and Lua, which is impractical for most users, I don't think there's a good workaround at the moment.

Its weird because I don't remember seeing them in any version until the betas started coming out for 1.09. Could be faulty memory just as easily.

Good morning,
Forgot a little bit the past aobut visibilities for these. But would a be a valid idea to have NoNav and Exclusion zones having opacity options so one can set the sharp to light view?
best regards GJ
