Editor Question

Post by Dereck »

I am making a lot of Ship Class changes. I don't see any buttons on either the Ship Class or the Ships screens that would let me click and have the ship use the new class characteristics. Is there something I am missing or will I have to go in every ship and reset the class so it gets the new settings?

Thanks

I would recommend that you save the changes while in the class tab, then check for the changes in the ship tab.

There is an "update class" function. I'm on the train on my cell phone, not before the 'puter so I cannot check the details, but take a look at the menu options.

Back to keyboard.

You need to select the "Ships" button, then go the menu bar and click on the "Tools" tab - you will find an "Set ships" option.

I do not understand all the different settings. Apparently it is possible to make very specific updates, for example to set all Philippine Fleet carriers to shipyard repairs.

I imagine that you want to update the weapons slots on all types of ships for all nationalities - in that case use the settings in my screenshot.

WARNING: Create copies of your scenario file before making any data update via "set ships", in case something bad happens.
