A Welcome Rarity...

Post by pnzrgnral »

This is perhaps the second time I've seen two different ships hit in the same spread in many, many years of playing this great game.
Question: Has anyone seen THREE or MORE ships hit in one spread?

One initial spread of torpedoes, the submarine was forced to the surface, a gun and torpedo duel started which resulted in the cargo ship hit by gunfire and a torpedo.
Seek peace but keep your gun handy.

Near the end of my last campaign game, the submarine Scamp was forced to the surface after being depth-charged. Under fire, she proceeded to torpedo three transport ships in the troop convoy and pumped some shells into the accompanying escorts. The Daimei Maru later sank. Scamp somehow broke away from the Es and was still limping towards home when the game ended. There was a similar incidence in the war when the submarine Salmon fended off two Kaibōkan after a forced surface duel and escaped in a rain squall.
