Cargo Load Logic

War in Spain 1936-39 is the first in a new wargame series, using a new Land-Sea-Air engine inspired by War in the Pacific - Admiral’s Edition. Gameplay and realism are improved by TRUE AI and a detailed Logistics systems. A hyper detailed OOB reaches down to battalion and company level. A beautiful, hand drawn, 5 nautical mile per hex map massively increases player immersion.

Cargo Load Logic

Post by burningman »

Hi folks,

the TF in the screenshot was meant to load some cargo from august 22 to august 23, but it somehow canceled the command. My guess is that since I put the TF destination equal to the TF's current location/port und had "unload cargo" activated, it never starts loading cargo (or immediately unloads it?).

My solution was to deactivate the "Unload cargo" command, wait for the cargo to be loaded and then give a new TF destination hex.

My other TFs worked fine, but they had TF destination hexes outside of their port hexes ...

Maybe it's a bug or my bad, I'm not sure.

Try clicking Unload Cargo which should change the setting to Do Not Unload.

If the destination and the home port are the same, as soon as it loads the cargo it will unload it unless the "do not unload" is selected as described in the above post.

Ok, but should the TF destination not just be discarded since it's already reached and then cargo loading should continue? Strangely, the TF destination isn't drop after I hit next turn. And it wasn't dropped the next turns either.

The TF will load cargo and then proceed to its destination. If it is at its destination when it finishes loading, it will immediately begin to unload unless the "Do Not Load" is selected.
