Re: GC Republican AAR
If you have a (CTD) Crash To Desktop, please look in your reports folder to see if there is a "Crash Report" there. Write down what you were doing when the crash occurred, include the crash report and the save for the turn if you have one.
Seek peace but keep your gun handy.

Good point, thank you.RangerJoe wrote: Thu Mar 05, 2026 11:28 pm If you have a (CTD) Crash To Desktop, please look in your reports folder to see if there is a "Crash Report" there. Madrid falls! So, where to now? And we may be cautiously recovering near Granada. Elsewhere, not too much action, and not for the lack of trying, as nearly all planes are now flying, and there are raiding TFs in the sea. There's a lot of movement in the North, especially towards Ovidedo, and I really need to give the Eastern provinces a look again to see where their forces can be sent.

So, did I sink it, or did I capture it? It's going to capsize by midnight anyway, but the jury can still be out for a moment...

When you capture a ship, it shows up as sunk for the enemy.Rysyonok wrote: Fri Mar 06, 2026 2:23 am So, did I sink it, or did I capture it? It's going to capsize by midnight anyway, but the jury can still be out for a moment...SP055.png

Good callout - thank you. It's just sad that I'm about to lose a couple VPs over this hulkRangerJoe wrote: Fri Mar 06, 2026 4:24 am When you capture a ship, it shows up as sunk for the enemy.

Just get it to a port.

It auto-ported to a level 0 port and disbanded. Let's see if fishermen can manage 95 flotation damage.

Tsushima! Five torpedo boats spot a huge convoy. An easy win, right? Tell that to the two that either sank or went missing in action. Otherwise, I'm slowly learning to group forces together and ensure cautious attacks in nearly all hexes where we face NATs. The enemy is pressing all over the place, especially in the north. Italy gets yet another note after an Italian transport is spotted off Cadiz.

Those PGs are tough little ships, they outgun your TBs.

7/27/36 (Part 2)
Republican Enclave 1 - Huelva - Sevilla: Nothing to speak of.
Republican Enclave 2 - Gibraltar: Just trying to save a TB.
Republican Enclave 3 - Granada (+ Almeria): Somewhat of a stalemate. I clipped 12 NAT guns last turn, but my troops are half-disabled. Both sides have committed all of the available reserves here. I found a stray air base engineer unit, and I'm pulling it towards Almeria. This campaign might be turning into "REP Cities - NAT Villages". I'm considering moving some planes into the region, currently they are all stacked pretty much near Madrid and Cartagena, and that's not really reaching the enemy troops.
Republican Enclave 4 - Malaga (+ Loja): A couple of NAT units are sneaking about; in the meantime, this is shaping up as my main southern port, with nearly all combat and patrol ships stationed there. I need to find a way to start shuttling Barcelona forces there, although most of them are still static.
Republican Enclave 5 - San Sebastian: NATs are pushing heavily from the south. Around the city itself, they are making a run right for the citadel instead of standing in place to repel my western force. Considering I went all-out, and downtown doesn't have any combatants, this might be an issue. Definitely an enclave to monitor.

Re: GC Republican AAR
And yet just yesterday I was snickering at mere AA guns on some of them within my own fleet. WIS is definitely a learning experience.
7/27/36 (Part 3)
Republican Enclave 6 - Badajoz (+ Merida + Caceres): The goal here may be to establish a REP "rectangle", keeping the northern and the southern NATs separate. I'm mindful of rivers, and of the fact that Sevilla is lost, but maybe I can reroute some of Madrid forces here and see what happens? So, former Badajoz troops are now curving northward from Merida. For the below screenshots, railroads are in yellow.
Republican Enclave 7 - Oviedo - Gijon: Definitely a tough situation there, as all reserves are committed, and enemy is starting to push from the south. With my river crossings repelled yesterday, I will try flanking the city today and then approach my available units by land tomorrow.
Republican Enclave 8 - Lugo - Fibadeo (New entrant): A full retreat here. Maybe we can hold Oviedo and go from there. North Portugal NATs are very prolific.

Republican Enclave 9 - Southwest Madrid (New entrant): The goal here is to link up with the "REP rectangle" shown earlier. For now, it's a true 50/50. Available forces are scarce, but so are enemy ones.
Republican Enclave 10 - Tarragona - Lerida (New entrant): The plan is to organize defense against NAT forces pushing from the north and maybe even from the west.

Replace your leaders. That TF commander had 38 Naval skill.Rysyonok wrote: Sat Mar 07, 2026 5:32 pm Tsushima! Five torpedo boats spot a huge convoy. An easy win, right?
Check all leaders (ground, air, navy) of at least major units, starting from the HQ's.

Re: GC Republican AAR
Those PBs with just the machine guns might get a refit with depth bombs/charges for use against submarines . . .
Some of the PGs have something like a 3 inch gun on them which is more powerful than your torpedo boats but those PGs don't get depth bomb/charges.
Seek peace but keep your gun handy.
