Terminal Rocket-Boosted RV in database?

Post by boogabooga »

Is there anything like this in the database? Is this possible to model in CMO?

The boogabooga doctrine for CMO: Any intentional human intervention needs to be able to completely and reliably over-ride anything that the AI is doing at any time.

I think that video confuses two different things:

1) A BM RV with a rocket engine for exo-atmospheric trajectory control: Iran had demonstrated this well before the current unpleasantness (don't remember the designation - anyone?), but its deployment/operational status is unknown. CMO doesn't currently support this RV configuration.

2) A BM with a submunition warhead. There is nothing magical about this, the Oreshnik is an example and IIRC there are a couple never-deployed Scud variants with a similar warhead already in the DB3K.

@Dimitris, you're referring to the Fattah-1, which uses a RV design that incorporates a solid fuel TVC engine.
