Server Communication Error [-5]

Getting above message since an hour. Anyone else the same?

Yes, I'm getting the same error message.

I'm playing an online PvP game of World at War. I got about halfway through my turn and was bumped out of the game with a connection error. I went back into the game and noticed that several of my last moves were not recorded. Luckily no battles or sea movement. I tried to complete the turn and got kicked out right away. I rebooted the computer and tried again, same error message.

I checked my internet connection and it's fine. I'm not sure if the problem is World at War or Steam. The error message is pasted below

My operating system is Windows 12 and I'm running the game through Steam. I submitted the problem to support@matrixgames.com but haven't heard back.

Yes, I'm getting the same error trying to take my turn in the war in the pacific game.

Appears that the server was repaired this morning. I was able to complete my turn.

Got the dreaded Server Communication Error again. Lost half my turn, including some great die rolls on battles. Pretty frustrating. That's twice in less than a week.

This is getting annoying, especially on weekends. I wouldn't be surprised if its down till Monday morning in the UK. It has happened before.

Same all day with the PBEM server with SC-WW1 and SC-WiE matches.
Probably the occasional DOSS attacks. Surprised the Matrix site is up...........

Every turn after the replay i try to save in order to check if the server is on before playing.

I reported it last night. This morning I received an email stating that they are aware of the issue and are working on a fix.

They also stated that the issue was intermittent. But nobody are the forums has reported it being intermittent.

It sounds like all the SC games are affected.

I recognize that this only detects the error if it is already present, of course. But at least it's something.
