No fuel 1 hex away plenty 2 hex away and still…

War in Spain 1936-39 is the first in a new wargame series, using a new Land-Sea-Air engine inspired by War in the Pacific - Admiral’s Edition. Gameplay and realism are improved by TRUE AI and a detailed Logistics systems. A hyper detailed OOB reaches down to battalion and company level. A beautiful, hand drawn, 5 nautical mile per hex map massively increases player immersion.

No fuel 1 hex away plenty 2 hex away and still…

Post by melvi »

My Ascaso Columna de Milicia isn’t able to get fuel from 2 hex away where there are 600+, it keeps trying to get fuel from 1 hex away where there are 0. They have move orders on day 14-08-36….

And 5 days later they are stuck in that move order without fuel cause they aren’t able to bring it from 2 hexes away and it looks like nobody is in charge to move fuel from Tremp base hex 135,70 to Puente de Montañana base hex 134,70.

The fuel in those 2 bases stay exactly the same the whole 5 days.

What could I do to help Ascaso Columna to get fuel ( besides tell them to get ride of vehicles and/or change commander which admin skill sucks I just realiced). To tell you the truth what i´d love to know is how to make that dammit fuel in Tremp move to Puente de Montañana. And don’t tell me “to wait till logistic move it magically” cause it hasn’t done in last 5 days. I mean.. you can tell me.. but it doesn’t looks like it is happening that way. :P

I don't know how to get the fuel in your situation. But you can try to replace trucks to horses, split the column to sub-units and move them forward. There are no static front-line.

Try increasing demand at the desired base, set the other base to "repel" the fuel, go to your main fuel dumps at your ports and repel the fuel there.

I know, it is annoying. Which is why I try to limit the logistical trucks to just a few units.

Also send comissarios to arrest these fuel monopolists in coastal bases!

I like to get lost in the details as much as the next player (who happens to like that) but has there been any talk by the developers about possibly making the logistics systems more hands off. I am not looking forward to trying to micromanage what seems to be a leaky underlying logistics system. Supply mechanics like War in the East 2 would be nice. You need to make decisions in that game but it does not become a game all into itself.

Just switch the logistical system to simple from detailed.
