The B-2s are on their way back to Whiteman AFB as PETRO41 flight. They checked in earlier this morning with SEVILLE CONTROL over the Straight of Gibraltar just like Op Midnight Hammer. I love how the Spanish controller say’s to them, “Adios”

Nice image shared by CENTCOM of an F-35C launching during the first wave of airstrikes on Iran.

A couple of things worth noting:

1) the discoloration is a visible sign of oxidation of iron-based particles in the jet’s RAM coating. It does not affect the aircraft’s LO (Low Observability).
2) it’s an F-35C belonging to the U.S. Marine Corps (VMFA-314). Many people believe the USMC only flies the B variant, but the Corps also operates the C model.

Iran's Pearl Harbor. Iran's Southern Fleet has been effectively neutralized as a cohesive fighting force. By waiting for these high-value units to assemble and dock for rearming, this was a "shooting the turkey" maneuver that has decapitated Iran's naval projection. With the very likely destruction of the Makran, the Kilo submarine, and the Moudge-class frigates at their moorings (the Jamarai has been sunk, as I've seen images after the impact), Iran has lost its ability to contest the Strait of Hormuz or conduct operations on the high seas. The surface fleets of the IRIN and IRGCN are currently out of service. Have you seen more images after this attack? Do you have any reliable information?

The photo you posted earlier of Bandar Abbas was taken by the Sentinel on February 26th/27th, and the attack was on the morning of the 28th. You can be sure they were there. Furthermore, the USA has declared the sinking of 9 ships, several of them large. I'm betting that almost the entire main fleet has been lost.

Yesterday, a total of 4x B-1B "Lancer" bombers departed the USA heading towards Europe. 1 airframe, which used the callsign "PIKE72" (86-0120 #AE6BFA) went to RAF Fairford, while the other 3 aircraft (seemingly also using "PIKE72" as one of their callsigns, along with "PIKE73" and "PIKE74") continued to Iran to hit targets.

These 3 bombers have arrived into RAF Fairford a short while ago having completed their bombing mission, and will likely fly all of their future missions from the UK. As I'm unsure what tankers supported this operation this time, I have included all the major tanker bases in the EUCOM/CENTCOM area on this map.

"Secretary Hegseth: A U.S. submarine sunk an Iranian Navy ship in international waters with a torpedo, the first torpedo kill since World War II."

I don't know if it's been pointed out already but this is un-true. The British used a torpedo to sink the Argentinian cruiser "General Belgrano" during the Falklands conflict. I won't comment on the veracity of anything else that comes out of hegseth's mouth.

EDIT: Just spotted the thread above about this. Always read the previous posts.

Their navy not a factor. Pick your adjective. It is no more. In fact, yesterday in the uh Indian Ocean, and we'll play it on the screen there, an American submarine sunk an Iranian warship that thought it was safe in international waters. Instead, it was sunk by a torpedo. Quiet death. The first sinking of an enemy ship by a torpedo since World War II.

This is the transcription from the youtube video.

In the context, I think he was referring to an American enemy and by an American sub and torpedo.

Iran Targeted Diego Garcia Base With Ballistic Missiles

https://www.wsj.com/livecoverage/iran-u ... wRTauDYHOt

OSINTdefender
According to the Wall Street Journal, citing multiple U.S. officials, Iran has targeted the joint U.S.-UK base at Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean with two intermediate-range ballistic missiles (IRBM). According to the report, one missile failed in flight whilst the other was engaged by a U.S. destroyer utilizing an SM-3 interceptor, but a successful interception was not confirmed. None of the missiles hit the base. This is notable as Iranian long-range precision fires have not previously been publicly assessed as having the range to hit such a target as Diego Garcia, as the base is some 4,000 kilometers from Iran proper.

If it was the Kh-4, then the range is beyond what was known.
