How to use Bradley Recce Sections?

Post by MrDerpo »

Pretty new to the FC series and managed to get a marginal win on veteran "A Time to Dance" with 74% starting force VP remaining. Abrams really did the heavy lifting and I had all but one of my Bradleys knocked out.
I understand you want the Bradleys to do hit and runs, but what's a rule of thumb for your SOP or orders to make sure they take a few quick shots and immediately leave? Also, when you eventually have to stand and fight whats the best way to position the sections in relation to your tanks?

Those 2 Bradley sections should be avoiding being directly in the enemy path. Prefer striking from the sides and use Screen instead of Hold. Using Hold will cause the unit to take longer to move out of the hex. The other thing to consider is that if you're in a forested hex, you're not going to be able to relocate quickly. So if your plan is to relocate quickly, don't be in a heavily forested hex.

1, Don't relocate. Hold fire at first. Wait for artillery reinforcement then drop a smoke screen then open fire.

2, if you want to relocate after a few shot, the best way to simulate is to use "Relocate after each fire mission"
