I have been waiting for months for this release. I was hoping that there would have been a large database of historical ship designs so you could quickly put together a scenario without having to design many of the ships yourself. Perhaps such a database could be added later. I found this disappointing. :(

A lot of time went into designing the current line-up of ship designs that are included and used in the current scenarios. Ship design is one of the most time-consuming parts of Expanded Battles development, so providing a large database of additional ships beyond the provided scenarios would have significantly extended the timeline. This is a small dev team, and we prioritized development on the main features of the expansion as communicated and marketed.

However, we have worked on some additional ship designs that didn't end up making the cut for release, due to a lack of readiness or the fact that they didn't fit in our current scenarios. We also know that folks have been clamoring for more ships, and we are considering adding more historical designs in future updates.

I figured it was something like that. I just got it in my head that there would be a database of many of the ships of at least the major countries. I suppose it was a false expectation. I may well, roll up my sleeves and design a few ships, lol. Normally I find it the most fun doing that sort of thing, but I for some reason just assumed. Thank you for your efforts. :)

Is there a way to export RTW3 designs from a save game to Expanded battles?
