PINK??!!

Post by Bella »

I just bought and downloaded WITP:AE from the Matrix games site (after my previous game was corrupted). It is version 1.0.0.1079

Big Problem: All text boxes are backlit in hot PINK with white lettering. Virtually unreadable. Is there any way to change this? The game is basically unplayable with this feature.

Never mind. Figured it out. I wrote my switch as -deepColour instead of -deepColor, the way you colonials do.

I decided to get back into the game, so I purchased a digital download today, and I'm having the same problem with pink text.
I went to the application file (screen shot) but I'm not able to edit the command line.
Any suggestions?

It's not the application you want to change the properties of. It's the shortcut to the application, and if you don't have a shortcut then make one. Then always use that shortcut when starting the game. The switches should go in the "Target" line.

In the Tech area, there is a link to a Seabee program that can set up your switches for you.

Well, I finally got it to run properly. Unfortunately the Seabee program didn't work as it seems it's currently unsupported.
Good news I found a Youtube site that set it all up and now it runs perfectly https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TFibXJSRpBU

Thanks for all of your help

Not sure what you mean by unsupported?

Did you look here or in many other places in the forum for switches. There is also the whatnew file in the install folder.
