File not found

I've been trying to tinker with the Expanded Battles scenario editor and I've been left completely bamboozled by the whole system.

The problem arises when I decide to save my progress. I click on 'save scenario' and always get 'File Not Found'. Of course it's not found, I'm trying to create it. That's why I'm clicking on save.

Reading the manual, it tells me that there will be four files for the data, etc and that it will be saved in the 'My Games\Rule The Waves 3' folder. I've checked and that all exists but I am still unable to save a scenario. I cannot see anything obvious that I am doing wrong. If it is the case that the scenario has to be completed in one sitting before it can be saved then this is of absolutely no use to me because I will rarely have the time to work for however long it takes to do this in one sitting.

Here's a suggestion: create 'New Scenario' in the editor drop down menu and get that to create the conditions to allow the saving of a user created scenario.

Never mind. I had to create a 'Custom Files' folder myself. Why on earth couldn't this folder be created during installation?
It would have saved me much wailing and gnashing of teeth.
