On Discord, it is harder to go back and see things much earlier in the AAR. Which is why my AAR for WIS is on the Matrix WIS AAR forum.

True, for the readers navigation in Discord does take some learning, but once you know how, it isn't all that difficult.

For the authors, Discord is a dream. Creating your AAR is easier, and you can do a lot more in terms of imbedding. No lost posts, no double posts, easy to edit/correct, etc.

These are some of the reasons why there are far more active WitPAE AAR's in discord at this time than here.

Interesting about Discord. The main reason I began my AAR was I wanted a means of documenting my thoughts and plans throughout the war, and give Adm Wa a chance to comment once all the shooting finally ends. Getting old so, I figured it was a great way to capture the game, and then be able to go back and think.... what the $%#&*# was I thinking....

I agree on being able to go back and try to figure out what you were thinking but you don't have to put it so politely!

All good reasons to do an AAR, plus it is fun and others enjoy it tremendously!!!

A number of reasons that make here better though. It can be indexed into search engines (Google et al) and the info is more available. I do find it's easier here to locate things. And I despise videos personally, blah blah talking heads. Here, you can seek out the piece you want to read and ignore all the fluff if you want. Harder to do in a video. Bigger waste of time.
